I never thought I'd find myself typing a whole page about overclocking options that put a lot of (bigger) motherboards to shame—especially when we’re looking at a mini-ITX mobo. There are specific sections for Thermal Throttle Management (although we feel the option for Cool'n'Quiet should be here), as well as Power User Overclocking that offers some really quite impressive options and very serious voltages – take a look at the CPU voltage below, that's 1.55V plus 50 percent! Errr, that’s 2.325V vCore – are they mad?

When was the last time you heard about overclocking records from an LN2-cooled mini-ITX board? It is more than reckless though, not just the fact that it’s far and above what will easily kill a CPU, but also because the board is limited to CPUs with a TDP of no more than 65W.

Not content with stopping there, you can also kill your memory, chipset and, umm, anything else that survives with the voltages available – we’re not against voltage adjustments on boards like these, but they should at least be kept sensible. One thing we are missing though is a "GPU Clock" option that would take advantage of that extra chipset voltage – there's no real reason to throw more at it otherwise, it's not like it has a memory controller.


The HTT, CPU clock and memory settings are clear and easy to use, and Jetway even includes the option of profile saving! We're only missing an in-BIOS Flash utility and we'd be very happy bunnies indeed. Also, thanks to the uniformity of the AMD memory controller, Jetway enables a great selection of memory performance tweaks, but sadly they aren't exactly in the most user-friendly arrangement.


One thing we found was there was a constant conflict between the PCI-Express and PHY Gigabit Ethernet controllers – Jetway’s engineers said that manually assigning the MAC address should fix the Code-10 error (device cannot start) in Windows, but it's far from the most intuitive approach.
